DIGITAL EQUIPMENT

CR SYSTEMS

Computerized Radiography (CR) combines the use of traditional diagnostic radiology (x-ray) machines and powerful computers to produce digital x-ray images. Technicians utilize modern technology capturing the x-ray image on a phosphorous plate instead of traditional film. After the image capture, the CR device digitizes the image. Using the digital image, the CR system provides capabilities for computer based review, image manipulation, and transmission of the image to remote reviewers (i.e. doctors that are not on-site) for translation.

For customers with existing “EMR” systems, our CR units comply with the HL-7 interface standard. This provides easy access to patient information and transmission of images captured on the CR unit to the “EMR” system. Our CR units integrate with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) for long term storage.  These are just a few of the features that CR systems can provide.
